By Mark FeltnerPublished Aug 15, 2018 07:06:42While some may find the construction of the Xl pipeline a bit controversial, the $3.5 billion project is designed to increase fuel capacity for Honolulu’s urban-suburban grid and increase capacity for the state’s oil and gas industry.
In a video posted on the official Instagram account for the pipeline, a worker can be seen loading a tank of fuel onto a truck, and then loading the tanker into the pipeline as a tanker.
“This is what it’s all about,” the worker says in the video.
“It’s all part of the overall project.
The pipeline is going to increase the capacity of our urban infrastructure.”
In the video, a construction worker can also be seen inspecting the pipeline before it is ready for delivery.
